The video that started it all. The new business name (from MasterMind to Master’s Mind), the new policy of productions…EVERYTHING. This video was the last video I ever produced using Windows Movie Maker (good riddance). And what a way to end it. This video was made for a contest at a local radio station called TheJoyFM with a grand prize of 20 Tickets to one of the two days of Night of Joy 2009 (2nd place got 20 tickets to the day we didn’t pick). After a lot of praying to God, pestering our friends to vote, our friends pestering their friends to vote…WE WON! No words can express the joy we had when we found out we actually won this contest. There were times where it seemed hopeless and then our numbers rose again. The Lord blessed us with a wonderful trip and it was after this event that I started praying to God about some things. I learned that the gifts he has given me in filmmaking aren’t my gifts. They are gifts that HE has provided for me to use for HIS glory. After swallowing that Red Pill (at age 15) I started considering a name change from MasterMind Productions to Master’s Mind Productions. The name helps me remember that I am not the director of my projects, God is. I’m just the vessel doing what the creator leads me to do. But I wasn’t that quick in the name change. I was praying to God, “I wanna be sure this is the name you want. Because I can always KEEP the name and still glorify You. Give me some sort of confirmation.” One day my dad and I were talking about a website for my film business and the domain for mastermindproductions.com was…pricey. I decided to ask my dad, “Try mastersmindproductions.com. As in Master’s Mind instead of MasterMind…”. Needless to say, less “cha-ching” and here we are now! Since then, the Lord has blessed this business more than I asked for. I look forward to see what He has in store for the future. But I’ll never forget how this all began. Enjoy this video, 63 Seconds, knowing a good portion of the story behind it! :)
Sincerely,
Mikael A. Guerra
